LG Nexus 4 Will Return To Google Play Store Again Only After You’ve Quit Caring

I could have sworn that the most difficult smartphone to come by over the holidays would have been the iPhone 5. Shockingly you could walk into any store and get one. What you couldn’t get, even from Santa himself, was the LG Nexus 4.

LG Nexus 4: are you still waiting?

Now as we move into mid-January, the LG Nexus 4 availability still hasn’t improved over at the Google Play Store. The Android 4.2 Jelly Bean phone is still sold out and you can’t place an order. Even if you can, wait times are approaching 8 weeks which puts it deep into February or March shipping.

Now while I wouldn’t have minded waiting a few weeks to get my hands on the iPhone 5 as there wouldn’t be an ‘iPhone 6’ to tickle my fancy until a year later, the same cannot be said about Android smartphones.

I have installed one of the many Nexus Stock Alert apps in the Play Store right now which will fire me a notification the moment stock becomes available in the Play Store. However given that there are already rumors buzzing of hot new devices like the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC M7, Sony Xperia Z and even an unnamed Motorola X smartphone all coming in early 2012, that notification for the LG Nexus 4 may come just a little too late!
