While some automakers have been rushing to get an EV out into the market, Lexus decided to take it easy but they are finally ready.
The new Lexus UX 300e, the first fully electric model from Lexus made its debut in China this week at the Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition. There is still a lot that we do not know about the Lexus UX 300e but what we do know is that the vehicle will be fitted with a 54.3kWh lithium-ion battery that would allow it to travel about 248miles when fully charge.
The engine will be offering about 201hp and 221lb ft of torque. There will be a few driving modes to choose from. Lexus also added that the vehicle will come with an Active Sound Control that will transmit natural ambient sound for a better understanding of the driving conditions.
For now, the Lexus UX 300e has been announced for China, Europe, and Japan but no word on whether it will be arriving in the US or not.
