Lexus IS & GS: End Of The Road?

By  |

It has been clear for some time that sedans are not getting that much love when compared to SUVs and crossovers now. With Ford already revealing their plans for their sedan, Lexus could follow them down that path with the axing of the Lexus IS and GS model.

While Lexus has not made any official announcement yet, David Christ did mention that the company is looking at both the IS and GS right now. Although that does not guarantee that they will be axed, it does not look good for both those models.

With models like the NX crossover now dominating the market, it is easy to see why the Lexus IS could not hold its ground. The NX crossover base model comes with a price tag of $36,185 while the Lexus IS is being sold for $38,210.

The GS, on the other hand, is looking more and more unattractive especially with all these talks about the 2019 ES coming in with a larger body and more hp to offer.

Do you think Lexus to cut them loose?
