Kia Niro EV: What We Need To Know

By  |

Kia has unveiled their new Kia Niro EV in Korea this week at the Busan International Motor Show.

The design was not a huge surprise since we already seen the production model last month but now we got to learn more about the performance and other details about the vehicle.

According to Kia, the Kia Niro EV will be offering about 204hp and 291lb ft of torque when it arrives. The power will come from a 64-kWh lithium polymer battery pack that should offer about 236miles of range on a single charge. Kia will also be offering the Niro EV with a smaller battery pack option. That model will offer about 149miles of range.

We also got to see the new interior of the Kia Niro EV. It was clear that Kia wanted to switch things up as the console is different from what we have seen in the hybrid model so far.

The Kia Niro EV will also come with a driver assist suite that will come with features like collision warning system, adaptive cruise control and more.
