Kia Forte, Optima & Sedona Will Be Affected

Kia has just issued a recalled for some of their models after discovering that an electronic glitch might affect the airbags of the vehicles.

This came after NTHSA announce that they were investigating reports claiming that some airbags on the Kia and Hyundai failed to deployed causing the death of four people with another six injured due to the faulty airbags.

NHTSA added that they are aware of six crashes where the airbags failed to deploy. Kia has now issued a recall for a few of their models including the 2010-2013 Kia Forte, 2011-2013 Kia Option and 2011-2012 Kia Optima Hybrid and Kia Sedona.

Kia also added that the short circuit might have happened because of an electrical overstress. They do not have a fix for the issue right now but it working with the supplier to come out with a solution.

A total of 507,000 units of Kia vehicles will be affected by the recall.
