Jeep Wrangler Details Released, Should We Be Excited?

By  |

Jeep will be releasing their new Jeep Wrangler in Europe this September but before that happens, they are now releasing a few more details about the vehicle. Here is what they revealed.

According to Jeep, the European version of the Jeep Wrangler will enter the market with two engine options. The base model will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder petrol engine. The other option is a diesel option. The diesel model will be powered by a 2.2-liter Multijet II turbo four-cylinder diesel engine.

That means the Europe market will be missing out on the powerful 3.6 liter V6 engine options which Jeep will be offering in other markets like Russia, Africa, and the Middle East. All the engines will come fitted with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The European model will come with three trim levels, Sport, Sahara, and Rubicon. The Rubicon model will be fitted with the Rock-Trac all-wheel-drive system while the Sport and Sahara will be fitted with the Command-Trac all-wheel-drive system.
