Jaguar iPace Is A Tesla Model X Without The Awkward Styling

By  |

Jaguar have trademarked some names and this seems to give us confirmation that they are working on a range of electric vehicles, possibly the iPace, which was trademarked by the company in December along with the iType, which was recently trademarked. This suggests that they could be looking to take on the Tesla Model X, but let’s hope it doesn’t have the awkward styling.

The iPace could well be the electric SUV that is coming from Jaguar and it may be an offshoot of the FPace of it could end up being a standalone vehicle. It is expected that the vehicle will make an arrival onto the market in 2017 and it is said to be able to offer a range of around 300 miles. But will it be able to compete with the Tesla Model X.

The Tesla Model X comes with the winged doors and offers a range of about 250 miles, so it would in the same bracket as the iPace. It reaches 60mph from standstill still and has a top speed of 155mph so the iPace is going to have to offer around the same if it is to contend with the Tesla Model X.

The Tesla Model X has been called the most advanced vehicle and it comes with a range of sensors, including sonar and radar along with cameras. It offers automatic braking along with other safety features that are said to be able to work when the vehicle is travelling at high speed.

The Jaguar iPace on the other hand is said to be an SUV that will offer electric motors on all four of its wheels. Whether it is going to be able to contend with the Tesla Model X will remain to be seen when it hits the market, but will it offer better styling that the X?
