Jaguar Has Answer To Fatal Keyless Start Feature

By  |

As convenient as the Keyless Start feature is, there were reports that the feature is also the cause of a few death. In those cases, the driver forgot to turn off the vehicle and ended up flooding their home with carbon monoxide.

The issue does seem to be worrying as more and more vehicles are fitted with keyless entry now but it looks like the answer to this problem could be found in the Jaguar XF.

According to Jaguar, the Jaguar XF will turn itself off when the vehicle is put into park, with the brake lift off and seat belt remove. Although this will only happen if you have your automatic stop/start system engage, it is definitely something that could be very useful especially for those that tends to forget about turning off the vehicle when they exit.

With New York Times now pointing out the issue as well, we might see more new features added in the further to prevent incidents like this from happening again.
