It Might Be Time For Toyota Prius Reign To End Soon

With electric vehicles of today offering up 300 miles range and more, it may soon be time for the reign of the Toyota Prius to end. This is due to the fact that the Prius simply cannot compete with other electric vehicles.

Toyota has now come up with an in-house company and staff have been taken from four of Toyotas companies to put all their focus on a new electric vehicle that will be able to offer up close to 300 miles range.

Toyota is ahead with fuel cell technology and hybrid vehicles but they do realise that they have to design an electric vehicle. Toyota said that they will have an electric vehicle on the market by 2020 in Japan.

When the electric vehicle is launched it could be time for the Toyota Prius to say goodbye. The staff from the in-house company are going to work on the research and design of the electric vehicle but Toyota isn’t giving up on fuel cell technology. The Mirai has been said to be the ultimate in eco-cars.

So when Toyota does launch an electric vehicle they may be getting rid of the Toyota Prius, but would you miss it?
