Is It Going To Be 2017 Mazda CX-5 Or 2018?

When the next gen 2017 Mazda CX-5 arrived at the LA Auto Show we found a lot out about it but one thing that wasn’t made clear was whether the vehicle would be launched as the 2017 version or if it would be the 2018 version.

The Mazda CX-5 is taking the company into the premium market, as is the rest of the line-up. However this is going to be a slow move, but slowly but surely Mazda is taking steps closer to the vehicles from Audi and Porsche.

So is this going to be the Mazda CX-5 2017 or is it going to be the 2018 version? We did hear that it was going to be the 2018 version but of course it hasn’t been out of the question for it to be this year’s model.

The Honda CR-V was supposed to be coming out in 2018 but then it was said that it was going to be the 2017 model. We think that the same could apply to the 2017 Mazda CX-5.

If it wasn’t going to be a 2017, the current new vehicles would have come out as 2017 instead of the odd “2016.5”. Even though they’ll arrive late-spring, the new model has already been released in Japan. So I think it’s still early enough that it will be 2017. If they go with 2018, then a 2017 CX-5 will never exist!
