iPhone X vs Samsung Galaxy S9: The S9 Beat Before It Hits Stores

By  |

The Samsung is supposed to be the smartphone that will come in to threaten the Apple iPhone X but it looks like Apple can relax for now and benchmarks scores show Samsung well behind the new iPhone X.

The Exynos 9810 is the faster Samsung has to offer but according to the latest benchmark test, it is not as fast as the A10 and A11 and Apple appears to be the clear winner in this battle.

Breaking down the scores to per-megahertz level, the Exynos 9810 scored 1.38 per megahertz. The A10 scored 1.71 per megahertz while the A11 managed to score an impressive 1.94.

In fact, under Speedometer 2.0, the Samsung Galaxy S9 was pushed all the way to back as it sits behind devices like the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Mate 9, Pixel XL 2 and even the iPhone 8 and iPhone 7.

Samsung later added that the demonstration units were running on a special firmware that may not be optimized to the hardware yet so we could still see the scores changed when the device arrives.
