iPhone 6 Hits Stores On June 20th, Ten Days After iOS 7 Launch At WWDC 2013

Earlier this week, rumors broke out that iOS 7 would be set for reveal on June 10 at WWDC 2013. Of course, its rollout would be saved to time with the next iOS device release. So what could this be?

According to Macotakara, an Apple enthusiast blog that has been accurate in the past when it comes to Apple rumors, Apple will launch the iPhone 6 on June 20 at a special event. And judging by Apple’s past iPhone launches, we could expect the iPhone 6 in store around 2 weeks after its launch.

So if we had to guess when iOS 7 would roll out to existing devices like the iPhone 5, iPad Mini and iPod touch 5G, we’d assume around the time of iPhone 6 release to stores i.e. early July.

The report goes on to suggest that there will be a cheaper iPhone coming too for markets in India and China, and that this ‘iPhone Lite’ would launch in August. No word on exactly what a low-cost iPhone would be like but I’m sure now all eyes are on the iPhone 6 and how it will stand up with the growing competition like the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One.
