iPhone 5 vs Motorola DROID RAZR HD MAXX: Thin Is In

By  |

To add to the superb handsets already on the market, Apple revealed their latest iPhone, the iPhone 5. But with so many great Android devices on the market, how does the iPhone 5 match up to them?

Many of the Android devices out have screens that are larger than the 4 inch display of the iPhone 5. The Samsung Galaxy S3 for instance has a large 4.8 inch display while the HTC One X comes with a 4.7 inch display. Then there is the 4.7-inch Motorola DROID RAZR HD which is almost as slim as the iPhone 5 and manages to pack a whopper of a battery since it is not removable just like the iPhone 5 has.

All of the Android devices come with 1GB or RAM except the Samsung Galaxy S3 which in some places has 2GB. The iPhone 5 is matched with the majority of these at 1GB. All of the handsets comes with ICS Android 4.0 but will get the update to Jelly Bean, while the iPhone 5 comes with the newest iOS6 . They all have NFC support except for the iPhone 5 and they have 4G LTE.

However the iPhone has not always been about hardware only. Software, looks and user-friendly design is as important. This makes us want to single out the Motorola DROID RAZR HD MAXX.

Apple always provides one of the best user experiences and the design of the iPhone 5 is impressive. The iPhone is also the thinnest device on the market and even with its longer body it remains sleek. iOS 6 meanwhile comes with more than 200 new features for an even better user experience. Apple has also kept battery life in check despite adding in LTE.

Motorola has also been working on making their handsets sleeker looking and the Razr is well known for its thinness. The user interface has also been stripped down and is sleek enough to even pass off as stock Ice Cream Sandwich unlike TouchWiz or Sense. It has a massive battery to boast unrivaled battery life. And while it doesn’t have premium materials like glass and aluminum to adorn its exterior, it has Kevlar.

With this in mind it looks like the iPhone 5 and the Motorola Droid Razr HD Maxx will be set to collide later this year. After all, haven’t the Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC One X had enough fun this year already?

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, iPhone and Android games keep Berke busy at work all day. Honestly though we’re not sure why we’re paying him as it should be the other way around.
