It is finally official folks. The iPhone 5 has been unveiled (yes that is the official name) and it will be available for pre-order this Friday the 14th of September.

iPhone 5 release date, price, pre-order details and specs now official

The official iPhone 5 release date is 21st September as it will ship to US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore on that date. It will then be made available in 20 more countries the following month only.

Now if you missed the live Apple blog then here is what you need to know about the iPhone 5. It is thinner, has a 4-inch Retina Display, A6 processor, 8-megapixel camera, 5-row of icons, a new dock connector, 4G LTE, 720p front camera, and comes in both black and white.

While it does resemble the iPhone 4S in many ways, the iPhone 5 is made from aluminum and glass and is available in color-coded black and white. It looks good to say the least.

The iPhone 4 and 4S will drop to the lower price bracket so the iPhone 5 can squeeze in at a starting price point of $199 on contract.

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, iPhone and Android games keep Berke busy at work all day. Honestly though we’re not sure why we’re paying him as it should be the other way around.
