iPod Touch 5G Dropped From 100,000ft & Survives (G-Form Case)

There has been numerous videos posted online from G-Form advertising their cases, with the Apple iPhone and iPads being able to survive falls. However there has been nothing to compare with a recent test of one of their XTREME cases for the Apple iPhone 5, costing $39.99 and which will be shown at CES next week.

The company put a 5th generation Apple iPod Touch into the iPhone 5 case and then attached the case to a weather balloon with a GPS signal and sports action camera. They then sent it more than 100,000 feet into the air. During the test two cameras attached to it stopped working as the temperature fell to around -60 degrees Fahrenheit. The devices were picked up around 41 miles away from where they were launched and they were unharmed.

One of the best things about the case is that it is a lot thinner than other iPhone 5 cases competing with it. the G-Form XTREME cases use the Reactive Protection technology inside, with a polycarbonate exterior, along with a 3rd layer of TPE, which helps to protect against shocks.

So if you’re thinking about skydiving or even something like spelunking, you might want to give the G-Form case a try for protection for your iPhone 5 or iPod touch 5G.
