iPhone 5 iOS 6 Untethered Jailbreak Solutions Announced, Quickly Criticized

Ever since iOS 6 and the iPhone 5 was released, fans have been waiting for someone to provide them with a jailbreak for it and updated devices. Two people came forward since and have said that they had the untethered jailbreak. However they were quickly criticized and only recently found to be nothing but scams.

Beware of iPhone 5 iOS 6 untethered jailbreak promises

Of course you should be very careful about installing software that is unofficial. Despite this many iPhone owners choose to jailbreak their handsets. The two offering the jailbreak turned out to be just after money and the jailbreaking teams were alerted to the pair. The Dev Team criticised them both of course and they stress that right now there is no untethered jailbreak for the iPhone 5 and iOS 6.

One of the pair, JHerthop, wanted money for the jailbreak and unfortunately some desperate people gave him their hard earned cash. He did say through Twitter that he would refund the money, however there is no proof of him having done this. On the plus side he showed remorse, which is more than can be said for the other scammer.

He wanted $500 for his jailbreak and he went as far as uploading screenshots of what he said was the jailbreak working on the new iPod Touch 5G. Thanks to his Photoshop skills leaving a lot to be desired, he was found out and then he turned to Twitter to abuse people who were calling him a scam artist.

The jailbreak is wanted by fans of the iPhone and iOS 6, and some people will do anything to make money. So at the moment be very wary of anyone who asks for money and claims to have the jailbreak for the device. If anything, the real solution will be free when and if it becomes available.
