iPhone 5 & iOS 6 untethered jailbreak news

Now renowned iOS hacker Pod2g who has been the most vocal member of the jailbreak team ever since they rolled out Absinthe, has some information to share with the public. In a interview with Sebastien Page of iDownloadBlog, pod2g explained the current situation with finding an iOS 6 untethered jailbreak solution and also explained what hacking generally involved.

Speaking with the blog, the famed iOS hacker said that the jailbreak for iOS 6 would likely arrive in the next 6 months:

I’m very confident about the next 6 months. I honestly believe that iOS 6 will be jailbroken and that developers will keep coming up with more quality apps. Discussions about future tweaks during JailbreakCon have opened new doors. Creativity won’t stop.

So while there was talk that iOS 6.1 beefed security up to ridiculous new levels, there still seems to be hope for iPhone 5 and other iOS 6 device users for an untethered jailbreak. We will just have to wait.

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, iPhone and Android games keep Berke busy at work all day. Honestly though we’re not sure why we’re paying him as it should be the other way around.
