iOS6 comes with more than 200 new features according to Apple. However you might not have found out about some of them yet, so here are 5 that you may have overlooked on your iPhone.

If you use your iPhone to wake you up in the morning the alarm app has been updated and you can now choose any song you want. No longer are you stuck with one of the ringtones to wake you up.

Siri has been improved in iOS 6 and it can launch apps for you. If you want Siri to do this all you have to do is say “Launch” and the name of the app that you want to open.

Pull to refresh is a superb addition to iOS 6. To refresh your email or other data you can now pull down. This means that you don’t have to use the reload button, just swipe.

Apple tracks you on your iPhone. However you can choose to limit this if you head into settings and turn the slider to limit ad tracking. This is located in Settings, General, About and then Advertising.

If you don’t want to be bothered by alerts from people you don’t know, you can limit iMessage only to send you alerts from your contacts. Head into the settings on your handset and then choose notifications and select the contacts you want to be alerted about. Consider this a spam bot for your iPhone 5.
