Mysterious HTC ‘Hellboy’ Android To Take On iPhone 5 This Month?

A new device has leaked from HTC and it has been pictured as being a menacing black device with fiery red stripes, suggesting that it could belong to the HTC Incredible series. Earlier this year a device was rumored to be coming from HTC with a 5 inch 1080p display and the newly leaked device could be it. However the leaked photos are a bit on the blurry side.

Mysterious HTC Android to join iPhone 5 & top Android this month (rumor)

A large number of companies are getting ready to release end of the year devices. These include LG, Apple, Sony, Samsung and Nokia. HTC have not released anything special since they launched the One series which was back in February so they are ready for a hit. Samsung for one has its Galaxy Note 2, Apple the iPhone 5, LG the Optimus G and Motorola the DROID RAZR HD. So HTC will need something more than the One X at this point.

The leaked device seems to be in the region of 4.7 to 5 inches and this seems to substantiate leaks we saw earlier of a device with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. The back of the device looks to be designed in similar materials to the One series and there is no sign of a camera sticking out on the back of the device. There is a red line around the outside of the device which looks almost like a racing stripe and it seems like the handset will have capacitive buttons instead of on screen buttons.

If the HTC device is to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and iPhone 5 then you can expect it to have a crisp display with a high resolution (1080p sounds perfect). At the moment there is nothing to tell us what is inside the device. However with the Optimus G from LG having the new Snapdragon S4 Pro processor from Qualcomm, this device might have the same specs. Could this be the device that could help to get HTC back into the competition? Or will it get overshadowed by the hype behind the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy series?
