There were numerous mixed reactions to the battery life problem after the launch of the iPhone 4S and of course Apple said they had worked out these issues in a later update, following hundreds of complaints. This goes to prove that there has been issues with the battery on the iPhone 4S for over a year now.

When users downloaded 5.1.1 it had an immediate positive effect on the battery life of the handset. But now with the release of iOS 6.0.1, the battery life issues are starting to rear their ugly head again. It is thought that the issue doesn’t affect all users; however some are not able to go through the day without their battery draining down reports Product-Reviews.

If you take a look at problems in the past with the battery and the iPhone 4S, these might show a pattern, bearing in mind that the problem doesn’t affect all users who have the same device and software. It is thought that the problem may lie with how the update is downloaded or installed. Certain sets of apps could also factor in.
