iOS 6 Untethered Jailbreak Update For iPhone & iPad

We’re still waiting for the untethered jailbreak of iOS 6 for the iPhone and iPad. The good news is that it seems to be much more closer now and less likely a hoax as once thought weeks back.

PhonesReview heard that a UK student is working on the untethered jailbreak and is leading the race, ahead of pod2g and Chronis Dev. This student has got some helpers and together they’re known as Team Dr1zzle. The team is believed to be working on jailbreaking iOS 6 for the iPhone 5, 4S, 4 and the 3GS, with one team member focusing on the iPad.

This UK student bust out onto the scene when he said he’d almost jailbroken iOS 6 with help from a modded version of Redsn0w. This galvanised the jailbreaking community, with some members being very skeptical.

It seems that Team Dr1zzle has displayed proof of their work in photos, but whether this is for real is to be seen yet. If the guys have managed it, they will have pulled a huge rabbit out of the hat.

Jailbreaking is not without risk, though. If it goes wrong, then your iPhone becomes a brick. Team Dr1zzle says it’ll post more proof in a video. However, even if they’re close, we may have to wait a little longer before we see an untethered jailbeak for iOS 6 released to the public.
