Hyundai Santa Cruz Pickup Truck: More Ridgeline, Less F-150

By  |

We know for a fact that the Hyundai Santa Cruz is “made for millenials”, but we’re also not going to change how we’re seeing the vehicle. It’s not really that appealing, but guess what, that doesn’t really matter anymore because it’s been given the green light for production now.

But then again, it’s just an indication. Hyundai is carefully teasing us with the words they are using in regards to the Santa Cruz, mentioning that they are “waiting more for an announcement than an approval”, and we’re not sure how to take that in. Could it be the green light some of us are hoping for?

The thing is, it’s still not officially confirmed and announced yet, but we think many would love to see how it all turns out when it becomes a reality. And if it were to be going through the production process, the Santa Cruz is expected to use the same platform that underpins the current Tucson crossover.

How much are you looking forward to see this happening?

I’m standing in line for one. For me it’s the perfect vehicle. A bed for out-sized cargo and the ability tow trailers. It’s perfect. Ask yourself this – how many times do you see a full size pickup truck driving around with an empty cargo bed ? For me it’s about 80% of the time. What a waste !
