Hyundai & Kia Will Join Porsche With 800 Volt Charging System

Porsche might be one of the first EV models to come with an 800 Volt charging system but their competitors are not far behind as it was reported that Hyundai and Kia might also offer their EV with an 800 Volt charging system soon.

According to the reports, Hyundai and Kia will both have the 800 volt EV ready by 2021 and that the vehicle will accommodate a charging rate of 350kilowatts.

The automakers have already invested in Ionity which is said to help increase the availability of the charging stations in Europe and also to prepare the market for vehicles that would support the 350 kilowatts charging power.

We do not k=have many details on which models Hyundai and Kia will be offering this with but they did announce that they will have about 44 eco-friendly models to offer by 2025.
