HTC M7: DROID DNA Successor Hits All US Carriers In February?

Last week rumours were going around about the HTC M7 and these put the new device in very good light. Details from Unwired View do match up with what has been reported already and they provide an insight into what we can expect from the new device.

HTC M7: DROID DNA successor may sport 1080p display too

One report has said that the HTC M7, which is being dubbed as a successor to the HTC DROID DNA, will have a laminated 4.7 inch display with a resolution of 1080p. This would mean that it would have 468ppi. The HTC DROID DNA of course also has a 1080p display but is 5-inches and 440ppi.

The HTC M7 is also said to have a quad core processor of 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage internally. The battery is said to be 2300mAh, it should have a camera of 13 megapixel, with a 2 megapixel front camera. Both cameras are said to be capable of recording video at 1080p. The HTC M7 should come with Jelly Bean, with Sense 5 UI from HTC.

The specs are not the most outlandish we have heard in rumours, however the enhancements of HTC in their next flagship device will include the Cinesensor chip, which will make picture quality better. It is thought that the company will also add super slow-motion along with HDR video. Just as the HTC Droid DNA did and the HTC 8X, the HTC M7 will come with the Beats Audio amplifier and it will have stereo speakers for improved audio.

At the moment there is no news about when the HTC M7 may be launched officially but speculations point to a February 2013 release on multiple carriers in the US including Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T.

So it looks to be shaping up to be a major rival against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 which is also expected to sport a 1080p display and launch early next year.
