Half Life 3: More Bad News Cometh

By  |

With all the information out at the moment on Half Life 3 being accounted as vaporware only, the last thing we wanted to hear is the likelihood of anything every developing on the game would lessen.

That appears to be the case now as news was confirmed that Half Life co-creator and lead writer Mike Laidlaw is no longer with Valse. The news came about as a Redditor posted his apparent email statement over on Reddit:

Yes it is true. I have retired from Valve. I am no longer a full or part time Valve employee, no longer involved in day to day decisions or operations, no longer a spokesman for the company, no longer privy to most types of confidential information, no longer working on Valve games in any capacity.

We don’t know much elseon what is happening at Valse but the hopes of good news about Half Life 3 appear to be decreasing by the day. We doubt much has developed on the game and the different directions Valse has been taking with things like Steam and Occulus Rift has us wondering if it has any plans for a Half Life 3 anytime soon.
