Nexus 7 Gets Major Battery Boost After Android 4.2.2 Update

By  |

Google have just made an update on the Google Nexus 7 page on their Play Store. The change is to the life of the battery, this was previously said to give 8 hours of use and this has now been changed to 10 hours. This has occurred following the release of the update to Android 4.2.2.

We looked into some of the new features and the changes after the update, however we cannot find out anything about extended battery life. The timing of the changes is odd and so if you have the Google Nexus 7 and have updated to Jelly Bean 4.2.2 you should keep an eye on the life of your battery to see if its lasts longer.

On a side note, there have been reports that the location services features isn’t as good as it can be when it comes to battery life for the Google Nexus 7. So there are hints that this could possibly be what has been fixed in Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

The Google Nexus 7 is of course available via the Google Play Store and is easier to get your hands on then its sibling, the LG Nexus 4. We’ll keep you posted as more develops on this change.
