Google has stopped offering support for the Google Nexus 5 and they proved that they now class it as an older device as they didn’t put it on the Android 7.0 beta list.
In November 2016 the device was three years old so really owners cannot argue that it is old. Google isn’t sending out security updates any longer but this isn’t to say that the device isn’t going to be able to enjoy a brand new life.
The Google Nexus 5 has been said to be a developer’s handset and this is one of the main reasons why we think the Nougat source code could be offered for it. Owners will be hoping that a developer is going to offer up the CM14.1 source code to give it Android 7.0 Nougat.
But what do you think about the fact that Google has given up on the Google Nexus 5?
