Google Nexus 4 Owners Rejoice over Android 6.0 Marshmallow

By  |

One device that developers seem to have fallen in love with is the Google Nexus 4. Some owners were asking if they would get the update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the answer to this is yet, even if it’s not official.

If you own the Google Nexus 4 and you want to go ahead and install the update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow then you can choose between two custom ROMs. One ROM is from Dmitry Grinberg and the other from Aldrin Holmes. So if you want to update your handset you can check out the steps below.

1. Start by transferring the TWRP file to the device and update/install it.
2. Turn off the device and switch it on to the Recovery Mode (Volume Up + Volume Down + Power Button).
3. Wait for the TWP UI to load up, then choose Wipe > Factory Reset.
4. Next, transfer one of the ROM-GApps into the device and reboot to enter Recovery mode again.
5. Now, you are ready to enjoy the Marshmallow update on your Nexus 4.
If you followed the above steps on your Google Nexus 4 you should now be holding the device with Android 6.0 Marshmallow installed.
