Google Nexus 4 Android 6 Marshmallow Is Coming

By  |

The Google Nexus 4 has had something of a love and hate relationship with developers but it’s all love at the moment for the device. This is due to the fact that it isn’t going to be getting updated officially to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but developers are offering the update.

The Nexus 4 has been loved by owners and many people still carry the handset around. This is one of the reasons why developers are offering the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

One of the ROMs is from Dmitry Grinberg and the other is from Aldrin Holmes. So if you want to put the unofficial version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow onto your handset you can by following the steps below.

1. Start by transferring the TWRP file to the device and update/install it.
2. Turn off the device and switch it on to the Recovery Mode (Volume Up + Volume Down + Power Button).
3. Wait for the TWP UI to load up, then choose Wipe > Factory Reset.
4. Next, transfer one of the ROM-GApps into the device and reboot to enter Recovery mode again.
5. Now, you are ready to enjoy the Marshmallow update on your Nexus 4.

Providing everything has gone to plan you will now have the Google Nexus 4 with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on it.

I am still using and enjoying my Nexus 4, shame on Google for not releasing it sooner.
