Google Nexus 4 Android 6.0 Marshmallow, There Is Some Good News

The Google Nexus 4 does have something of a love and hate relationship with the developers out there. The handset isn’t going to be getting an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow officially but owners shouldn’t despair as it is going to be made available.

When the Google Nexus 4 arrived on the market it went down well so perhaps it isn’t much of a surprise that the developers have stepped in to offer the Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

There are two versions of Android 6.0 Marshmallow available for the Google Nexus 4 and one is by way of Aldrin Holmes and the other comes from Dmitry Grinberg. If you want to install the update on your handset you can by following the steps below.

1. Start by transferring the TWRP file to the device and update/install it.
2. Turn off the device and switch it on to the Recovery Mode (Volume Up + Volume Down + Power Button).
3. Wait for the TWP UI to load up, then choose Wipe > Factory Reset.
4. Next, transfer one of the ROM-GApps into the device and reboot to enter Recovery mode again.
When your Google Nexus 4 restarts you should now be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
