Google Could Revive Nexus 6 On Pixel Successor
It has been suggested that Google could revive the Nexus 6 and it would be based around the Pixel. It has been said that Google are using Muskie and Walleye as the codenames for the Google Pixel 2 along with the Pixel XL 2. However a new report seems to suggest that Google is working on a third handset and this is not going to be the Google Pixel 2.
The third device is said to have the codename of Taimen and we have had this information from many different sources. At the moment though no details are available. If you make a search on Google for Taimen you will find that this is a big fish and this could be giving us a hint that the third handset is going to be huge.
The Pixel XL is already a big phone so the Taimen could actually be a much larger device that falls within the 6 inch category, which is similar to the size of the Nexus 6. This device had the codename of Shamu, which of course was another big fish.
So for now we are going to have to wait and see what comes our way from Google as the Taimen could be a larger sibling to the Google Pixel 2 or it may be a totally new phone altogether and have its own unique brand. Hopefully we will get to find out if it something more premium that the Pixel 2 or Pixel XL 2.
