It does not surprise us that Google will want to stop offering the Nexus 4 updates now that the device has been around for a couple of years now. While Google has decided to give up on the Nexus 4, the custom ROM developers are not as there are already a few custom ROM out there for the users to try out.

Of all the ROM, the two that is said to be the most stable ROMs are the one created based on the ROM created by Dmitry Grinberg and the other created by Aldrin Holmes. Here is how you can update your Nexus 4 to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

Transfer the TWRP file to the device and install/update it. Next, turn the device off and enter recovery mode by holding down on the Volume up + Volume Down + Power Button.

Once the TWP UI loads up, select Wipe > Factory Reset. Transfer one of the ROM-GApps to the device, reboot and enter the Recovery Mode once more. Install the remaining files and ur device should be running on the latest Marshmallow OS.
