GM Is Forcing The Issue On 2018 Corvette ZR1

GM may be closing the production line of the 2018 Corvette ZR1 so that they can upgrade the facility thoroughly. At the moment there hasn’t been confirmation of this but a blogger said that the announcement is coming.

It has been said that the factory will be closed for several months and this will begin when the 2017 Corvette model comes to an end. Production of the C7-generation is then going to happen when the factory has been upgraded, when production of the 2018 Corvette ZR1 will begin. This is a vehicle that is highly anticipated thanks to it offering 700 horses plus.

It was said that when the 2018 Corvette ZR1 model concludes, the company is going to start building the C8 Corvette with its mid-engine.

The news of the improvements and upgrades to the facility come after GM revealed they were making investments of $290 million in the assembly plant. Around $439 million is going to be spent on the construction of an expansive paint shop it was revealed.
