Genesis Takes Down Rivals In Latest J.D. Power Survey

Although it feels like Genesis is struggling to take off, the quality of their vehicles is definitely not to blame here.

The new luxury brand from Hyundai was given the highest ranking in J.D. Power latest survey for overall initial quality with a score of 68 problems per 100 vehicles during its first 90 days of ownership.

Genesis also managed to nab a spot in Consumer Reports’ list of top 10 brand rankings based on road testing, safety, reliability and owner satisfaction. Genesis has been impressing all over as their G80 and G90 were also given the Top Safety Pick + award from IIHS while the NHTSA gave the G80 a five-star rating for its safety. Things should only get better as Genesis prepares to release their new G70 sedan later this summer.

Coming in second was Kia followed by Hyundai while automakers like Subaru and Volvo found themselves in the bottom of the list.
