Forget Genesis, Is Hyundai Building A Range Rover Evoque Killer?

Looks like Hyundai’s got other plans to make it further into the SUV market. They would want to make an SUV that’s even smaller than that, from what we’ve seen of the Hyundai Carlino HND-14’s debut at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo.

It’s good to know that the Carlino is built to take on rivals like the Ford EcoSport, Mahindra TUV300 and the new Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, so there’s that to look forward to. And not to mention, the Carlino could also be a Range Rover Evoque killer too, if it’s what it says it could do.

What we’ve seen the Carlino is that it’s dressed in a two-tone orange paint job and features a much more boxy, rugged look than the Creta. There’s also the fact that we’ll be expecting a small, inset LED head- and taillights, a large hexagonal grille, bulging wheel arches filled with large wheels and chunky tyres (just to name a few).

So, do you think it really have what it takes to take down the Range Rover Evoque?
