Ford Sync 3 Will Allow Driver To Use Their Voice To Control Waze

Ford owners were happy that Ford was working to get the community-based traffic app on board the Sync 3 infotainment system and now Ford is making it even better by allowing hands-free voice controls to it.

Thanks to the Ford Sync AppLink, Ford has managed to integrate Waze into their Sync 3 infotainment system. To use Waze in your Ford vehicle now, you will need to make sure that your Sync 3 has been updated to the software version 3.0 or greater and have your iPhone run on iOS 11.3 or higher. Install the Waze app on your iPhone and you will be ready to go.

Sadly, the support is not ready for Android users yet so only Apple users will get to enjoy this new upgrade. Do also take note that the system is not wireless which means you will need to plug your phone into the car using the USB port.

There is still work to do but this is better than nothing.
