Ford Issues Recalls, One After Another

By  |

Apparently, Ford had quite a patchy road towards the end of 2015. Ford had issued a recall for a few of their models due to fuel leakage. Besides the Ford Explorer and Ford Taurus, Ford will also be recalling the Ford Flex, Lincoln MKS, MKT, the Explorer Police Utility and Taurus Police Interceptor.

A total of 868 units will be affected by the recall. It has been reported that the fuel delivery module in the affected models could crack which would result in a fuel leak. Those affected will be getting their fuel delivery module replace.

That is not the only recall Ford is issuing either. Ford also issued another recall to recall the 2013 Ford Escape and Ford Focus ST after it was reported that the splices in the engine wiring harness might do not have adequate compression which can cause the manifold absolute pressure sensor to send the wrong signals to the powertrain control. This could lead to the engine stalling.

A total of 9017 units will be affected by the recall. Those affected by the recall will be getting new splices.
