Ford GT Has The Numbers To Roast Ferrari, McLaren Rivals

By  |

Ford has opened up about the performance figures of the Ford GT and we can tell you that it offers a top speed of 216 miles per hour, so it has enough to roast rivals from McLaren and Ferrari.

The Ford GT offers up 647 horses and it came out ahead in benchmarks against Ferrari and McLaren on the track by being 3.1 seconds faster than the Ferrari 458 Speciale in Canada at the Calabogie Motorsports Park.

The team were asked if the Ford GT would offer up the same results on tracks such as the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Nurburgring and Virginia International Raceway and the answer was yes.

The Ford GT is said to have a weight of 3,054 pounds, this is the dry weight with no fluids. The non-dry weight of the Ferrari is 3, 075 and the McLaren comes in at 2, 927. The weight loss in the GT comes down to the use of carbon-fiber monocoque and aluminium components.

Those who managed to order the Ford GT don’t have long to wait now until they get behind the wheel as seven vehicles have now left the plant and it should be just a matter of time before you can take your vehicle around the track to test it out.

Looks like a crime against humanity and the environment to me.

Pity the fragile ego that would think such a monster is interesting, and shame on Ford for wasting the resources and pushing mindless conspicuous consumption.

(oh, and for those who still think it cool, a Tesla will blow it away off the starting line)
