Ford Focus RS Recalled Over Year Long Issue

Owners of the Ford Focus RS has been buzzing online about the vehicle have a faulty head gasket but Ford did not do anything about it until now.

According to the report, Ford will be recalling 2016 and 2017 Ford Focus RS models that were fitted with the 2.3 liters EcoBoost inline four-cylinder engine. In the letters, Ford stated that they will do a pressure-test for the Ford Focus RS and inspect the combustion chamber for coolant for free.

Ford will also replace the cylinder head gasket and maybe the cylinder head assembly if needed. The recall will affect models that were built from the 3rd of August 2015 until the 6th of July 2017. Affected models might have white smoke coming from the exhaust.

The offer will be available until the 31st of January 2019 and they will also offer to cover the cost of their customer’s rental vehicle for up to four days.
