Facebook Messenger Has Gone To The Next Level: Share Tracks Via Spotify

By  |

There’s no denying that the Facebook Messenger could do a whole load of things for you – be it requesting for an Uber ride, a Skype replacement, and now you can share your favourite tracks via Spotify too. It’s only natural for them to add on this feature, and we’d say it’s a good move.

How it all works is that you’ll have to hit the “more” dots icon in the lower righthand corner, select Spotify, then you could choose from the song that’s currently playing, recently played, or even choosing from the many tracks in Spotify’s library. And once you’ve decided, tap on a song in Messenger, and expect it to instantly pop open Spotify where your song would be played. Too easy to be true, don’t you think?

If you’ve always thought that the desktop version could provide much more features than the app could bring, you’re wrong. It has been a lie the whole time (or maybe just this time, to be completely frank). That’s because apparently, you can’t really do the same on the Facebook’s desktop site which you could on your phone’s app. Weird, huh?

This feature should already be available on iOS and Android, so get ready to tap some songs and possibly, send it to your beloved one to know that you’re thinking of them while listening to a particular song.
