Don’t Let Samsung Ruin Your Galaxy S7 Display [Guide]

By  |

Samsung could ruin the display of your Samsung Galaxy S7 thanks to the update to Android 7.0 Nougat.

While people are excited about the update to Android 7.0 Nougat for the Samsung Galaxy S7, they may also want to be wary of the fact that it can bring with it some changes that are unwanted.

For instance the update to Android Nougat will change your Samsung Galaxy S7 display to 1080p instead of the 2560 x 1440. We don’t know if this is something that Samsung has intended for the device, perhaps they did as it would give the device a bit better battery life and improve the performance slightly.

There wouldn’t be a great deal of difference for typical users of the Samsung Galaxy S7, but anyone who has sensitive eyes or anyone who wants to make use of the sharper resolution can change it back.

To change back the resolution you can go into Settings – Display and then change the resolution. Why the Android Nougat changes it as default we don’t know.
