Dodge Viper: Will We See It Again?

By  |

There were rumors suggesting that Dodge might be looking to bring back the Dodge Viper but it looks like we might have to give up on that idea.

Sergio Marchionne announces that Dodge is here to stay but when he was asked if the Dodge Viper is on the way back, he said that it is not the in the plan. While that is sad, at least we will be seeing for Dodge including the Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger in the future.

He also revealed that the future Charger and Challenger could be coming with an Alfa Romeo platform and that will hopefully help with reducing the overall weight of the car so that it is close to rivals like the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang.

That also means that the LX platform will be retired which makes sense since the architecture is already pretty old and it is about time Dodge fitted the Charger and Challenger with something new. We do not know when the refresh model would be arriving but it should arrive before 2022.
