Dodge Viper ACR Left Dazed And Confused By 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 RS

The Dodge Viper ACR is a legend of a vehicle but this doesn’t mean that it is better than other vehicles on the market and the 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 RS has proven this point. The vehicles went head to head in a race recently and the Viper was left dazed and confused.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS offers the 4 litre flat-six engine offering up 500 horses. The Viper ACR offers 645 horses, so it should be better, well on paper at least. The Porsche comes with the PDK dual clutch and the Viper ACR offers the stick shift.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS did get a lot of criticism about not having the manual gears and instead going with the dual clutch, but on the track you don’t have an advantage when using your own gears.

In the race the Porsche 911 GT3 RS was the only vehicle not to have the manual transmission and it even had the lowest power.

It wasn’t long before the Viper ACR overtook the GT350R but the Porsche 911 GT3 RS was more of a challenge. The Porsche was a great deal easier to drive than the Viper, despite the Viper being the more potent of the two.

You can check out the race below to find out what happened when the Porsche 911 GT3 RS took on the Ford Mustang GT350R and the Dodge Viper ACR.
