FCA will be issuing a new recall to recall 470,000 units of their vehicle. Out of the 470k affected, 414k will be from the US.

According to the report, the component used in the vehicles might degrade over time and thus inhibiting the deployment of the active head restraints that the vehicles have.

The recall will affect a number of models including the 2012 Jeep Liberty, 2012-2013 Chrysler 200, Dodge Avengers and more. FCA added that owners can find out if there is a problem by checking the warning light.

FCA added that no injuries or accidents caused by the issue has been reported so far but just to be safe, make sure you check your warning lights. Affected owners will be getting a free component replacement for free. Investigation for the issue started this June.
