FCA has just issued a recall to recall back their Dodge Grand Caravans due to the airbags.

According to FCA, they found out that the wiring of the airbag might come in contact with the pieces of steering-wheel trim which could lead to it short circuiting forcing the car to deploy the airbags even though it did not collide with anything.

They added that 13 minor injuries that might be related to the issue have been reported so far although to accidents have been reported. The recall will affect the Dodge Grand Caravan from 2011 to 2012. A total of 209, 135 units will be recalled

Those affected will get their vehicle inspected. If need, FCA will replace the wiring and also add on more protection covering on the vehicle for free. Affected owners will be contacted by FCA.
