Dodge Charger Hellcat Should Hang Up Its Boots After Cadillac CTS-V Defeat [Video]

The Dodge Charger Hellcat has always bragged about how fast it is but perhaps it should get ready to hang up its boots after the defeat it took against the Cadillac CTS-V.

On paper the Dodge Charger Hellcat really shouldn’t have anything to worry about when going up a second generation Cadillac CTS-V in a drag race. Of course that was before owners take to tuning up their sedans so as to keep them bang up to date.

Real life typically doesn’t fall the same way as figures on paper and this was recently proven when the Dodge Charger Hellcat went up against the Cadillac CTS-V and people got the shock of their lives.

We have seen a drag race between the stock four door version of the Hellcat and a CTS-V whose owner installed some entry level mods, including an aggressive cam. The two vehicles went to battle on the half mile drag race on an airstrip in California.

The driver of the Cadillac CTS-V wasn’t the sharpest off the line in reactions and this meant that the Dodge Charger Hellcat was able to take the lead. You would have thought that this is when the fat lady might have started singing, but she didn’t.

At the approach of the half-mile the CTS-V started to make up for the slow start and you can see for yourself how things went from there in the video. Of course we did give the results away with the title, but you still might want to check out the drag race between the Cadillac CTS-V and Dodge Charger Hellcat for yourself.
