Dodge Challenger Sneak Past Mustang & Camaro

By  |

While the Dodge Challenger has always been regarded as one of the top muscle cars in the market, nobody really thought that it could actually get ahead of the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro but that is exactly what Dodge did last month.

According to the latest report, Dodge sold a total of 6605 Dodge Challenger which means it outsold both the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro. Ford sold about 6186 units of the Ford Mustang while Chevrolet sold about 4691 units of the Chevrolet Camaro last month.

Of course, Dodge is still far from taking the top seller of the year title from Ford this year but it was still a surprise that Dodge manages to get ahead in June es[ecially since the vehicle hasn’t gotten a real update since 2008 while both the Mustang and Camaro were upgraded recently.

The current Dodge Challenger comes in with a 6.4 litre 8 cylinder engine that will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The engine will be offering about 485hp and 475lb ft of torque and it will return about 14mpg in the city and 23mpg on the highway.
