Dodge Challenger Doesn’t Need Hellcat To Hit 60mph In 4.0 Seconds

You don’t have to go for the Dodge Challenger Hellcat to be able to reach 60mph in 4 seconds as there is the Challenger RT Scat Pack, which makes your Challenger close to 3.6 seconds of the Hellcat.

You can get to 60 in under 4 seconds with the 2016 Dodge Challenger RT Scat Pack and while it doesn’t offer the 707 horses of the Hellcat, it does come in at $25k cheaper at $38, 995.

The engine is the HEMI V8 6.4 litre and this offers 485 horses along with 475 torque and it offers up a top speed of 182mph and takes less than 4 seconds to reach 60mph.

This isn’t all that short of the Dodge Challenger Hellcat and it comes in close to the Challenger SRT 392. The 2016 Dodge Challenger RT Scat Pack shares the same engine with the SRT 392 along with having plenty more bells and whistles. These include the 4-piston Brembo brakes and the Bilstein sports suspension.

The 2016 Dodge Challenger RT Scat Pack offers a rear seat that has 60/40 split, 16.2 cubic feet of cargo space and you should be able to get around 15mpg when driving in the city and 25mpg when out on the highway.

So you really don’t have to pay the price of the Hellcat as you can get the 2016 Dodge Challenger RT Scat Pack for a whole lot less and still reach 60mph in under 4 seconds, just a fraction behind the Hellcat.
