Detroit Auto Show: Might As Well Say That It Is Being Replaced?

By  |

Talks about the Detroit Auto Show getting push further back has been going around for some time now as it is believed that the current period for the Detroit Auto Show might be too close to other events like CES where automakers seem to be favoring now.

According to the Detroit media, the organizers are finalizing their plans to move the auto show to June instead of January. There were also talks about the show getting a new name. If that is true, this is more like canceling the Detroit Auto Show and replacing it with a new one that has a new date and new name.

We should be getting an official announcement from the Detroit Auto Dealers Association later this month on when they plan to have the show. Previous rumors also suggest that the show might be moved to October.

If the show does change its date to June, that means it will be coming after the New York Auto Show and will happen just in time for the Belle Isle Grand Prix event.
