Command & Conquer Remastered Will Support Modding

While some developer seems to frown upon modders, it looks like RTS game will be welcoming them with open arms as the developer announce that the upcoming Command & Conquer Remastered Collection will be getting a new Map Editor.

According to the blog post, the Map Editor was created as a direct result of them working with the modders and feel like this would be a good way to give back to the community. The developers will be releasing TiberianDawn.dll and RedAlert.dll that will allow modders to change most of the map from art assets and game logic to custom units and maps.

The Map Editor tool will be there to support that that does not want to go into the source code. Steam Workshop will also allow modders to share their custom maps and mods.

The Command & Conquer: Remastered Collection will be arriving on the 5th of June 2020 for PC.
